The Blacksmiths Arms Village Pub is situated opposite the site offering locally brewed beers. Within a 10 minute walk there is also the Riverside Farm pub/ restaurant with soft play area and beer garden.
The village of Skelton has a small Shop/Post Office, duck pond and childrens play area and is also home to the 12th-13th Century Medieval Church of St Giles
Within 500 yards of the site there is a 9 hole pay and play golf course and a garden centre with a cafe offering a selection of homemade food to eat in or takeaway.
The areas of Clifton and Poppleton are both within 1.5 miles and offer a selection of pubs, Tesco supermarket, petrol filling stations and a selection of restaurants including Chinese, Italian, Mexican and Indian cuisines.
Our unisex facilities offer full height shower and tolilet cubicles giving total privacy, We also have hand wash basins, gents urinal,hairdryer sockets and mirrors.

Grantchester is situated at the mid point of stage 8 of the Sustrans slow cyle tour of Yorkshire and stage 65 of the way of the roses coast to coast cycle route. This stage is the York to Beningbrough hall route which in total is 18 miles making Grantchester the ideal Mid way stopover to take a leisurley cycle either north or south.
